"Contact" Records Renamed to "Entities"

Contact records in Casefleet are being renamed to "Entities." This change reflects our expansion of this feature beyond just tracking persons and organizations to include products, locations, and other case-relevant items through a new "type" field. This enhancement is part of our preparation for the upcoming Document Intelligence AI feature release.

 

To help you adjust to this change, you'll notice the "Contacts" menu and case tab will temporarily display as "Entities/Contacts" for a short transition period before changing to simply "Entities."

All of your existing contacts data remains intact and accessible - we've just given you more flexibility in how you categorize and work with this information. We're confident this update will improve your case management experience by providing a more versatile way to organize all elements relevant to your cases.
